In this blog post, I'd like to talk about the impressions that colors create.

When you look at an ad or a piece of clothing, I'm sure many of you vaguely pick up on various impressions—summery, cute, cheerful, calm, and so on. Much of that comes from the influence of the color scheme.

So let's take a concrete look at the images that colors convey.

Take a look at this image for reference.

I drew a girl with exactly the same clothes and the same face, and then changed the colors.

You can see that just changing the colors dramatically changes the impression.

It even feels like the girl's personality is somehow different (lol).

I've also noted the typical impressions each color gives.

Each color carries both positive and negative impressions, and the impression it gives the viewer changes depending on how it's used.

Color is extremely important in graphics and photography, but there are also many everyday situations where we choose colors—like the clothes we wear today or our interior decor.
